US Berdan Sharpshooter
Incredible detail that accurately portrays a soldier of this legendary Civil War Unit. Called the US Sharpshooters, men were selected for their exceptional shooting ability and placed in this unit. Armed with the limited issued, 54 Caliber, Breech-loading Sharps rifle, these men were capable of placing 10 of 10 shots in a 3 foot square pine board at 500 yards. Their green uniforms were unique as well as their black rubber buttons which did not reflect the sunlight.
