Headgear

Description Pictures ( Click to Enlarge) Price
US M1917 Helmet, near mint condition.  You just can't find a better example of a WWI US battle helmet.  You can still read the tag, chinstrap is present and complete, just an amazing helmet.

SOLD
US M1917A1 Helmet.  This is the 1930s modification of the WWI helmet and was used in early WWII.  Original paint, no cinch string, leather is cracked, chin strap is stained.  However, it is a hard helmet to acquire and is in very presentable, original condition.    $150
Reproduction M-2 Paratrooper Helmet.  This helmet was custom ordered from J Murray Inc.  It appears to be an original paint, front seam M-1 helmet which has been modified and lightly weathered into the ultra-rare M-2 Paratrooper Helmet.  Original Inland liner.    $325 On Hold
M1941 Cap, Wool Knit, also known as a "Jeep Cap".  This one is original, small size, exceptional condition.  $95
Tanker Helmet,  US WWII.  Officially know as Helmet, Armored Forces.  This one is in unissued condition.  Made by Rawlings and a size 7.  These were used in the early stages of the war by all armored crewmen.    SOLD, Yes due to Fury
1st Infantry Helmet.  First with the good.  This helmet is a complete, fixed bale with a very rare, near mint liner made by International Molded Plastics.  The shell looks to me to have been re-textured, repainted, scarce and desirable insignia added and expertly weathered with a replaced, weathered chins strap.  Original, Commonwealth helmet net as commonly used by US forces.  Bottom line, this helmet looks great and has a rare liner.  It is a complete, early war helmet, but the paint job and the chinstrap appear to be too good to be true.  Priced accordingly.    $225
Vietnam Paratrooper Helmet.  This helmet is as good as they come.  Absolutely mint and complete.  Liner dated 1968.  Has all airborne configurations, ERDL cover is mint.  You can not upgrade from this helmet.    $145
Vietnam USMC helmet.  Liner dated 1954 and made by CAPAC.  Helmet shell is a front seam with original WWII paint and refitted with the T-1 clips.  ERDL helmet cover is in outstanding condition, dated 1967, and carries the EGA insignia.  If only it could talk....   SOLD
